چکیده
This paper deals with the optimization of external roller burnishing operation using a CNC lathe for Mg-SiC metal matrix. Magnesium was alloyed 10% (w/w) SiC particles as reinforcement. The Stir casting process used to cast bars. turning then performed on these bars prepare them process. parameters considered during are speed, feed rate, force and number tool passes. Surface roughness, microhardness out roundness were outputs each experiment. Taguchi methodology design an yielded L16 (44) Matrix. Response Methodology procuring optimized set parameters. plots studied understand impact all potential combinations Regression equations formulated between input output optimum surface roughness 0.1506 ?m, hardness 57.9996 HV 0.0151 mm obtained from following parameters: speed of171 rpm, rate 0.18 mm/rev, 21 N 3 found desirability factor 0.9991.

متن کاملAnalytical Modeling of Cutting Forces of End Milling Operation on Aluminum Silicon Carbide Particulate Metal Matrix Composite Material Using Response Surface Methodology
The cutting forces exerted by the cutting tool on the work piece during a machining action to be identified in order to control the tool wear and occurrence of vibration, thus to improve tool-life. Modeling of cutting force in milling is often needed in machining automation. The objective of this study is to predict the effects of cutting parameters on the variations of cutting forces during en...
متن کاملRoasting Process Optimization of Walnut Kernels for the Preparation of Walnut Cream Using Response Surface Methodology
Roasting has considerable effects on the quality of cream made of nuts. In this study, the roasting conditions of walnut kernels were optimized based on the stability parameters of the produced cream. Temperatures of 100-150°C for 10-30 minutes were used to roast walnut kernels. The amount of oil separation, peroxide, acidity and Thiobarbituric acid values of the cream, as well as color paramet...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Removal of Amaranth Optimization Using Response Surface Methodology
Since Amaranth (AM) is one of the dye compounds which is harmful to human’s life its removal from industrial waste water would reduce their environmental impact and health effect. Copper nanoparticle (CuNP) is a simple and eco-friendly material which can be used to remove this pollutant. In this paper, copper nanoparticles were synthesized, for removal of AM dye. The experiments were designed b...
